The Magic of A. R. Rahman Returns with ‘Usey Kehna’: The Heartbeat of Aanand L Rai’s Tere Ishk Mein, Backed by Bhushan Kumar

After the title track from Aanand L Rai’s ‘Tere Ishk Mein’, backed by Bhushan Kumar, captured hearts and continues to dominate music charts, the makers T-Series and Colour Yellow have now unveiled the film’s second song, ‘Usey Kehna’. Composed by the legendary A. R. Rahman, this latest song deepens the film’s emotional landscape, offering another chapter of its intense love story through music that hits straight to the heart.

With heartfelt lyrics by Irshad Kamil and vocals by Nitesh Aher and Jonita Gandhi, the song feels both timeless and intensely personal in Rahman’s inimitable style. The song also shares new intense glimpses featuring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, offering poignant moments of the film’s evolving love story, highlighting Mukti’s (Kriti Sanon) emotional journey and deepening the emotional connection between the two leads.

Music maestro A. R. Rahman shared the inspiration behind the melody, “This next song, Usey Kehna, was inspired from when we travelled to Himachal and witnessed the reflection of the mountains in the Ganges. Everything around inspired the creation of the melody, inspiring our teams Aanand L Rai, Irshad Kamil, Himanshu and it evolved into something which is just the bare minimum of just the piano, strings and a newfound voice of Nitesh. I hope people enjoy it and feel the same way we felt creating it.”
