'No One Should Be Googled' Hina Khan on being the most searched actor

Hina Khan, a star well renowned in the television industry, took to social media and responded to being named one of the most sought-after actors of 2024. However, she wishes that she was not searched for her diagnosis.

Sharing a screenshot of the news on her social media, she expressed that the recognition didn’t make her proud or happy. In her message, she penned, “I see a lot of people putting up stories and congratulating me on this new development. But honestly, for me, it's neither an achievement nor something to be proud of.”

She stated that she wishes that people did not search her just because of her diagnosis. “I pray that no one should be googled because of their diagnosis or health-related hardships. I have always appreciated people’s genuine regard and respect for my journey in these testing times,” she wrote.

For people unaware of her disease, back in June 2024, she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and went under chemotherapy. Her diagnosis was widely covered in the media, so rather than being searched for her disease, she would prefer to be recognized for her work and accompaniments. She concluded her message by saying, “I would rather be googled or known or acknowledged for my work or achievements. Just like I have been before and during my diagnosis.”

She is known for her role in the long-running television show, Yeh Rishta Kay Kheh Lata hai. She also featured in reality shows like Khatron Ke Khiladi and Bigg Boss.
