Mouni Roy, best known for her role in the hit television show ‘Naagin’ in a recent interview opened about her journey from working in television to working in big budget films. Mouni Roy has worked in hit shows like Kyuki Saas bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi and Kahani Ghar Ghar Ki, and later on went on to become a household name for her shows Mahadev and Naagin.
She took over the film industry with instant hits like Gold, Made in China and Brahmastra and worked alongside Akshay Kumar, Rajkummar Rao and Ranbir Kapoor. During her conversation, she also shared about her experience on working in Naagin and also opened about her journey in the film industry.
In her recent interview with a media portal, she also opened up about the health conditions she was facing before she joined Ekta Kapoor’s Naagin. She recalled being bedridden for months and took 30 pills and sometimes even injections per day. She opened up, “Before Naagin began, I was in a phase where I thought my life was over. It’s not that grim, grave, or sad. I was just severely unwell. I finished Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9 and I had L4-L5 complete slipped degeneration and scoliosis on my spine, and couldn’t stand straight”.
Mouni Roy was recently seen in the Disney+ Hotstar show ‘Showtime’ and had a cameo appearance in Love, Sex and Dhokha 2.
