Social Media App Instagram Revealed Features To Elevate DM Experience

Instagram just made chatting far more fun with its new update, making major changes in the way users text their friends. They introduced the concept of nicknames, stickers and live locations.

Instagram is an app based on photos and videos, where users can talk to their friends and followers through DM. While over time, they added a lot of features to DMs, none of them affected the means to express until now. 

Instagram announced a new update that adds multiple features to the user, giving them more means to express themselves. The features added to the DMs are nicknames, stickers and live locations.

Nicknames is a feature where a user can edit the name of the person they’re talking to. They can customise it as many times as they want and use anything like alphabets, numericals and emojis. This gives the user a chance to interact with their fellow friend more expressively.

Secondly, the famous WhatsApp sticker service is now added to Instagram. Two packs of stickers are added to the applications. Lastly, similar to WhatsApp, there is a live locations feature added to the DMs where one can share their life locations which automatically stops after an hour.

Overall, all the features are great, just that one needs to enable this feature and the only way to do it is manually in the settings.
