On September 23, Apple Inc will launch its first online store in India. This decision was much awaited by the tech and apple lovers. The iPhone makers confirmed it on Friday. The announcement comes at the time when the festive season in India is around the corner which also brings shopping season along with it.
Currently, Apple trades its products in India through third-party e-commerce firms like Amazon and Flipkart. The Apple online store for India henceforth it will be available on Apple.com/in, will now join similar e-commerce platforms that Apple already has in 37 other countries, including the US and UK. The website will also permit Mac users to construct their laptops as per their preferences and needs.
Apple will also offer trade-in for customers existing iPhones as well as other smartphones when they will purchase a new Apple iPhone from the Apple India online store.
Also, the Apple India online store has come with the new Education Store, which will offer special discounts and pricing for the iPhone, iPad, Mac, and other Apple products to teachers and students. There will also be special pricing for the accessories and the Apple Care+ extended warranty packages. This is something that Apple has on offer in many countries, and also offered it in India with the authorized distributors and retailers.
