Contrary to earlier reports, Taylor Swift will not be shooting a performance at the Hollywood sign in Los Angeles, Variety has confirmed. Tuesday morning's news of a Swift performance in partnership with Disney+ sparked concerns among local residents, but production has withdrawn its application, and the shoot has been cancelled.
Sources close to the situation clarify that Swift was never scheduled to appear at any point. This development coincides with the lead-up to the Disney+ release of "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour." Set to debut on March 14 at 6 p.m. PT, the concert film comes with a reported price tag of over $75 million.
The two-hour and 45-minute movie, initially set to cut five songs from the setlist for time, will now include "Cardigan," "Maroon," and three additional acoustic songs not available in previous versions. Based on Swift's "Eras Tour" setlists, these songs could potentially be "Death by a Thousand Cuts," "You Are in Love," and "I Can See You."
