Taylor Swift has made her long-awaited return to country music. The 30-year-old singer, who released her chart-topping eighth studio album ‘Folklore’ in July.
She will be performing at the 55th Academy of Country Music Awards. The news was revealed by Swift herself. She first shared it on an Instagram story. Then she posted the same on Twitter.
She wrote, “Bout to show up at your party @acmawards.” Later, confirming her performance of the song ‘Betty’, Swift sent out a tweet saying, “Guys I don’t know anything but I know I miss youuuuu. So watch the @ACMawards for my performance of ‘Betty’.“
The appearance of Taylor Swift on the 55th ACM Awards will be her first performance on any country awards show in seven years. Swift will be performing from the iconic Grand Ole Opry House. Meanwhile, Twitter is trending with #BettyIsComing.
The last time Swift was seen on a country awards awards ceremony was back in 2013. This was during the ACM Awards where she performed alongside country superstars Tim McGraw and Keith Urban. Taylor had sung the the track ‘Highway Don’t Care’
