Ajay Devgn starrer Tanhaji-The Unsung Warrior dropped on its first Monday but it was good enough to beat the lifetime collections of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer Chennai Express at the box office.

Tanhaji The Unsung Warrior continued to dominate the box office as it entered in its 3rd weekend with a bang. The film is creating havoc across India, especially in Maharasthra where it has broken few more records. The historical drama was superb in its first week as it received the favorable reviews from the audience for its enthralling content, powerful performance and brilliant story which helped the film earn the first week collections with Rs 118.91 crore while the second week ended with a bang minting Rs 78.54 crore.
Despite the release of Kangana Ranaut starrer Panga and Varun Dhawan starrer Street Dancer 3D, Tanhaji remained strong with Rs 5.38 crore. crore on third Friday. There was a huge growth on 3rd Saturday with Rs 9.52 crore. The historical drama touched the double digit on Sunday with Rs 12.58 crore. As per early trade estimates, Tanhaji collected Rs 4.12 crore, bringing the 18 days total to Rs 229-229.59 crore. With this total, Tanhaji has crossed the lifetime collections of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer Chennai Express (Rs 227.13 crore to become the 16th highest grossing Bollywood film of all time.
Tanhaji has become the highest grossing film of Ajay Devgn beating the lifetime collections of Golmaal Again (Rs 205.59 crore). The earnings should be good in third week as the footfalls is in positive trend.
