China Reports 126 Deaths from Tibet’s 7.1 Earthquake
The earthquake, which Chinese officials measured at a magnitude of 6.8, struck Dingri County in Shigatse, a big mountainous area in western China near the Nepal border. Shigatse is located approximately 240 miles from Lhasa, the capital of Tibet.
