Rhea Chakraborty has appealed in SC again on Monday when she had filed an affidavit. She has pleaded with the apex court of the nation to curb unfair media trials.
In this new affidavit that has been filed by the actress, she has said that despite the cooperating in the investigation of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, she has been treated as a “scapegoat of political agendas” and she has requested the court to protect her against “extreme trauma and infringement of privacy”.
Sushant’s family lawyer Vikas Singh countered this affidavit by questioning, “If media wants to get to the truth how can anybody say that free speech should be curtailed? When Mumbai Police called people from Bollywood & it was reported, she didn’t have problems. Only when media trial is coming to the truth she has problems.”
Rhea has also put some other pleas in the affidavit, “The issue is blown out of proportion in (the) media. Media channels are examining and cross-examining all the witnesses in the case. Petitioner has already been convicted by the media even before foul play in the death of Sushant Singh Rajput is established.”
The CBI on the other hand, has been investigating and probing in the matter from Monday. They have reportedly re-recorded Sushant’s father, KK Singh’s that he had first filed with the Patna Police. Sushant’s sister’s statements will also be recorded in the present week.
