The Narcotics Control Bureau has confirmed that Rhea Chakraborty had named actresses Sara Ali Khan and Rakul Preet Singh in her statement about a drug angle that came to light in the Sushant Singh Rajput case. According to the latest reports on Times Now, on Tuesday, the central agency is expected to send out summons to both actresses and fashion designer Simone Khambatta.
The news channel, also in their news claimed that several other popular names in the film industry have come up, but the team will have to conduct a lot of vetting before moving ahead. This confirmation came in after Free Press Journal quoted NCB deputy director KPS Malhotra, stating that the agency has not yet prepared any list mentioning names of Bollywood stars.
While addressing the issue, NCB’s deputy director KPS Malhotra shared a statement wherein he said, “Few journalists are asking that whether Rhea used to make any contraband related calls from her mom’s phone. The same is not verified and not based on any facts of the investigation.”
As per the reports in ANI, “A court in Mumbai sends Karamjeet Singh, Dwayne Fernandes, and Ankush Anreja to the custody of NCB till Sept 16, and Sandeep Gupta and Aftab Fateh Ansari to judicial custody till Sept 23 in connection with drug angle in Sushant Singh Rajput death case.”
