The first Bollywood film to get a theater release, Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari, starring Manoj Bajpayee, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Diljit Dosanjh finally hit the screens on the special occasion of Diwali.
As the government has given a green light to open theaters from 15th October onwards, many production houses and filmmakers, whose films were halted due to the pandemic situation, have started announcing the release of their next project. The latest in the pipeline was the comedy drama Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari which has interesting star cast Manoj Bajpayee, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Diljit Dosanjh, Annu Kapoor, Supriya Pilgaonkar, Vijay Raaz and Seema Pahwa.
Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari became the first Hindi release ever since the lockdown to hit the theaters, though the occupancy was pretty less considering the precaution taken by the theater owners and the permissible occupancy has been set at 50 per cent by the state government.
As per early reports, Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari opened to an occupancy of 10% which is very less considering the star cast and the promotion but this is certainly better than a commercial film releasing on OTT. As the Diwali celebration will continue for this entire week, Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari will continue to mint money on the lower level. Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari has got decent reviews from both critics and audience alike.
Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari is directed by Abhishek Sharma who has made films like Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran (2018) and Tere Bin Laden (2010). Suraj Par Mangal Bhari is produced by Shariq Patel and Subhash Chandra under the banners Zee Studios and Essel Vision Productions,
