Sunrisers Hyderabad Lost the Chances to Qualify with the Defeat against Punjab

Kings XI Punjab won the match and collects two crucial points to qualify in the playoffs of Dream11 IPL in the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. In this low scoring match Kings XI Punjab defended with magnificent performance by bowlers in the slog overs. Young Bowler Arshdeep Singh and Sheldon Cottrell took 7 wickets in last 4 overs and steal the momentum from Hyderabad.

It was total bowling pitch and both the captains wanted to choose bowling first. As SRH won the toss and chose to bowl first and worked on the decision. Mystery spinner Rashid Khan and Natrajan, Holder choked the batsmen in the middle and slog overs. In 20 overs Punjab reached 127 off 7; this is 2nd lowest total defended by Kings XI Punjab. At a point Sunrisers Hyderabad started well and in good position in the second innings.

Hyderabad scored 52 runs in power play, but suddenly loses some wickets, middle order couldn’t score any runs and tail Enders failed to hit big shots. Whereas Arshdeep Singh, young Indian Bowler; slaughtered batsmen and defended 13 runs in the last over. SRH required only 30 runs ion last few runs and they lost by 12 runs. This is the lowest score defended by Punjab in slog overs.

David Warner scored 35 runs in 20 balls and started well but no one supported him in throughout the innings. This match and victory was very important for both the teams and KXIP continued their magnificent form in today’s match too.

Brief Scores: Kings XI Punjab 127 off 7 (Pooran 32, R Khan 2-14) beat Sunrisers Hyderabad 114 off 10 (Warner 35, A Singh 3-23, S Cottrell 3-17) by 12 runs.
