Star Sports, the official broadcaster of a match in the Indian sub-continent has struck a big deal ahead of the World Test Championship (WTC) final in Southampton. India will be facing New Zealand in the summit WTC clash on June 18.
According to reports, Star Sports has signed MRF, Cred, PolicyBazaar, Pharmeasy, PaisaBazaar, Niyo Solutions, Byjus, Dream 11, Cars24, ThumsUp, Ultratech and Skoda for the final.
According to a report in E4M, the rate of inventory is almost 50% more than what it is for a normal bilateral Test. For the WTC final, the sponsors are paying Rs. 2.5 lakh per 10 seconds while spot buyers are spending Rs. 2.8 lakh per 10 seconds.
The broadcaster could end up earning up to INR 80-85 crore if all the ad spots over five days are filled in the WTC final. India’s each Test match deal between Star Network and BCCI is worth INR 52 Cr.

Star Sports aims to telecast the World Test Championship final between India and England in five different languages which include Hindi, England, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada on Star Sports Network and Disney Plus Hotstar. This is will be the first instance where a Test match will be aired in five different languages.
