Indian stalwarts Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli showcased their athleticism and camaraderie on and off the field by executing a commendable run-out dismissal during India's ongoing second ODI against Sri Lanka at R. Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

The incident occurred during the final over of Sri Lanka's innings when India had just secured the prized wicket of Kamindu Mendis, courtesy of a sensational direct hit from Shreyas Iyer. As Jeffrey Vandersay came on-strike for the final ball, Arshdeep Singh delivered the ball on the stumps. The right-handed batter managed to hit it through the off side, prompting both Lankan batters to run for a single.
After Indian captain Rohit Sharma missed the direct hit from long-off at the non-striker's end, the Sri Lankan batters attempted a risky second run. Coincidentally, the ball went straight to Virat Kohli, who picked it up and ran at great speed to dislodge the bails at the striker's end. His valiant fielding effort brought a big smile to Rohit's face, as the Indian captain seemed pleased with it. Riding on an exceptional bowling performance from Washington Sundar, India restricted Sri Lanka to 240. They need 241 runs to secure a win and take an unassailable lead in the series.

Kohli Breaks into Bihu Dance
Indian cricket team star batter Virat Kohli is well known for his impromptu dance moves on the cricket field, with several videos going viral on social media over the years. Kohli was once again seen having a little jig on the field after he took a catch during the second ODI match between India and Sri Lanka on Sunday. During the 27th over, Sadeera Samarawickrama went for a big shot against Axar Patel, but the ball hit his top edge and went high up in the air. Kohli, positioned perfectly at cover, completed an easy catch to hand India the breakthrough. Following the catch, Kohli broke into a Bihu dance—a dance form from the state of Assam—to celebrate the occasion. The Bihu dance celebration is something that Assamese cricketer Riyan Parag has done on several occasions in the past.
