The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the IPL auction rules on Sunday, allowing each franchise to retain up to six players, including the Right To Match (RTM) option. As teams prepare for the IPL 2025 auction, former India pacer RP Singh has made a bold statement regarding the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB).

He suggested that the franchise will likely retain only Virat Kohli and release the rest, opting to use the RTM option. Kohli has been with RCB since the league's inaugural season and is the highest run-scorer in IPL history, amassing 8004 runs in 252 matches, along with 8 centuries and 55 half-centuries.

"I believe they won’t face any issues. They will retain Virat Kohli, let everyone else go, and utilize the RTM," RP Singh stated during a discussion on Colors Cineplex.

Taking Rajat Patidar as an example, Singh noted, "If we evaluate his value, will he cost more or less than 11 crores at the auction? I think you could acquire Rajat Patidar for less. So, you can bring him back during the auction. Even if his price approaches 11 crores, you have the RTM to leverage."

He also mentioned, "With Siraj, you will need to assess whether he’ll reach around 11 crores. I don’t think Siraj will exceed 14 crores. They will always have the RTM option available if he gets close to that price."
