Virat Kohli arrives in Sri Lanka 1 month after T20 World Cup

The greatest has arrived. That's the buzz on the internet. Virat Kohli, precisely one month after India's memorable T20 World Cup victory, has touched down in Sri Lanka for the upcoming three-match ODI series starting on August 2. Kohli and captain Rohit Sharma arrived in Sri Lanka on Sunday night and Monday morning, respectively, after their respective breaks.

While Rohit was in the United States, touring various cities, Kohli returned to action after spending the past month vacationing with wife Anushka Sharma and children Vamika and Akaay in London.
With India already securing the T20I series with an unbeatable 2-0 lead, attention now turns to the ODIs, a format where Kohli and Rohit will be making their returns. 

This will be the first ODI match for either Rohit or Kohli since the 2023 World Cup final. Nothing, not even the T20 World Cup triumph, can erase the pain of November 19, but with the Champions Trophy on the line—a tournament both Kohli and Rohit won together in 2013 and came close to winning again in 2017—the two veterans will be highly motivated.
