The hosts first dismissed Bangladesh for 233 runs and then showcased a formidable batting effort, scoring 285 for 9 in just 34.4 overs before declaring with a lead of 52 runs. In this remarkable innings, India recorded the fastest 50, 100, 150, 200, and 250 runs in Test cricket history.

When India lost Yashasvi Jaiswal as the second wicket, fans eagerly anticipated Virat Kohli's arrival at the crease in the number four position. To everyone’s surprise, Rishabh Pant was sent in first, with Kohli coming in later at fifth.

Batting superstar Virat Kohli also set a new world record on Monday, surpassing the legendary Sachin Tendulkar to reach a significant milestone. Kohli became the fastest player to accumulate 27,000 international runs, achieving this in his 594th innings, breaking Tendulkar's record of 623 innings.
Only Kumar Sangakkara (648 innings) and Ricky Ponting (650 innings) have also reached 27,000 international runs.
