At the Silesian Open Boxing Tournament in Poland in 2018, the boxer was slightly over the 48 kg limit before the weigh-in and faced possible disqualification. However, the Olympic bronze medalist managed to drop the extra weight by skipping and ultimately went on to win a gold medal.

Mary Kom said that “I did skipping for an hour at a stretch and just like that, I was ready”.

Jaya Jyotsna, a dietician at Sri Balaji Action Medical Institute in Delhi, emphasized that combining a healthy diet with a good fitness routine is key to losing weight quickly.
