One such memorable occasion occurred when Virat Kohli, renowned for his intense focus and competitive drive on the field, astonished everyone by speaking fluent Bengali to promote Mehidy Hasan’s newly launched bat. This act not only showcased Kohli’s linguistic talent but also emphasized the profound respect and support that permeate the cricketing community, transcending nationality and rivalry.

Mehidy Hasan, the Bangladeshi all-rounder, has recently embarked on a journey in the cricket equipment industry by starting his own bat company. During a casual chat, when Mehidy shared news of his new venture, Virat Kohli, with a playful grin, remarked in Bengali, “MKS bat, Khoob Bhalo Achchi” (MKS bat, it is very good). Mehidy, clearly surprised and thrilled, expressed his gratitude for Kohli’s effort to communicate in his native language.

Kohli’s endorsement went beyond a simple compliment. He added, “Very good bat, keep up the great work. You produce excellent quality bats. Continue this endeavor and provide cricketers with top-notch equipment.” His comments were not merely promotional; they served as heartfelt encouragement to a fellow athlete stepping into the world of entrepreneurship.

Indian cricket legend Virat Kohli presented one of his signed bats to Bangladesh's great Shakib Al Hasan, who is preparing to retire from Test cricket. Shakib has indicated his intention to step down following the home series against South Africa, but if that doesn’t happen, the upcoming series against India will mark his last in the format.

As a gesture of appreciation, Kohli gifted the bat to Shakib after the conclusion of the second Test in Kanpur.

The Indian team performed remarkably in the rain-affected second Test in Kanpur. Despite losing two and a half days to rain and poor ground conditions, the Men in Blue managed to secure a result through their aggressive batting and disciplined bowling.
