India is getting a step ahead in its sporting avenues, with Paris Olympics into consideration India has almost finalised its list of players who will represent the nation in differnt sports. In 2020, the Indian contingent was made up of 124 athletes, the largest that the country had sent to the Games. India also won seven medals, their biggest haul in a single Olympics - including Neeraj Chopra’s historic gold medal in the men’s javelin throw.
While in the upcoming edition of the Olympics happening in Paris, India will look forward to elevet its medal tally and squad strength throughout the sports & games. Reportedly, there are 60 players finalised to send into the Paris Olympics.
Trap shooter Bhowneesh Mendiratta, who won India’s first quota place at the ISSF world championships, was the first to make the Paris Olympics cut. Indian shooters, in fact, went on to secure a quota in every Olympic shooting category for the first time. Race walkers Priyanka Goswami and Akshdeep Singh were the first Indians to qualify for athletics events at Paris 2024.
