In the 147-year history of Test cricket, no team has faced such a loss as Pakistan did, mainly due to a double century from Joe Root and a triple century from Harry Brook. While Pakistan out-shined in their first innings, with centuries from Abdullah Shafique, captain Shan Masood, and Agha Salman with Saud Shakeel’s notable 84, their bowling attack appeared unprofitable against England’s batting. The visitors lost wickets mainly due to weariness rather than the abilities of Pakistan’s bowlers.

In the 2nd innings, Pakistan grappled against England’s bowling, with Agha Salman’s 63 being the top score. Aamer Jamal remained not out at 55 as England achieved triumph by taking 9 of Pakistan's 10 wickets. Abrar Ahmed was not able to bat in the 2nd innings due to being hospitalized when the match concluded.

Various factors came up to Pakistan's disappointing performance against England, but perhance the most significant was their failure to function as an adherent unit. There seems to be a lack of clear master plans under captain Shan Masood, as important players like Babar Azam, Shaheen Afridi, and Naseem Shah have yet to find their top form.
