England has designated three players from Lancashire Cricket for 12th man duties, including Charlie Barnard, Kesh Fonseka, and Harry Singh. Harry was called upon to substitute as a fielder on two occasions—once before lunch and again when Harry Brook left the field.

Harry Singh, a 20-year-old opening batter, secured his first rookie contract with Lancashire in 2023 and has notable ties to India. He is the son of former Indian fast bowler RP Singh, who played two ODIs in the 1980s. Harry joined Lancashire’s development system at age eight and became part of their academy seven years later. He has also been involved with England’s U-19 teams, recently touring Australia with them.

“I began playing cricket at four years old, entered Lancashire’s development system at eight, and have been with their academy since I was 15—so it’s been a lengthy journey to reach this milestone,” Harry mentioned on Lancashire’s official website after securing his contract last year.
