In a historic feat, Team India cemented its legacy by triumphing in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, held in Dubai earlier this month. Showcasing resilience and exceptional skill, the Men in Blue clinched the prestigious title with a thrilling four-wicket victory over New Zealand in the final on March 9 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Acknowledging their remarkable achievement, the BCCI has announced a significant reward of ₹58 crore for the victorious squad.
"The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is delighted to announce a cash reward of INR 58 Crore for Team India following their triumph at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. This financial recognition honours the players, coaching and support staff and members of the Men’s Selection Committee," the board said in a statement.
The substantial reward will be distributed among the players, coaching and support staff, as well as the men's selection committee, led by Ajit Agarkar. However, the BCCI did not provide a detailed breakdown of the allocation in its official announcement.

"Winning back-to-back ICC titles is special and this reward recognises Team India's dedication and excellence on the global stage," said BCCI president Roger Binny in a release.
India emerged victorious in the tournament, securing both the prestigious trophy and a cash reward of $2.24 million (approximately ₹19.45 crore). Meanwhile, runners-up New Zealand will receive $1.2 million (around ₹9.72 crore) for their performance. The semi-finalists who fell short of the final, Australia and South Africa, will each be awarded $560,000 (₹4.86 crore). Afghanistan and Bangladesh, finishing in fifth and sixth place, will take home $350,000 (₹3.04 crore) each. Pakistan and England, who ended the tournament in seventh and eighth place, will receive $140,000 (₹1.21 crore) apiece.
Teams earned approximately $34,000 (₹29.5 lakh) for each group-stage victory. Additionally, every participating team was assured a minimum payout of $125,000 (₹1.08 crore). The total prize pool for the 2025 Champions Trophy amounts to $6.9 million (₹59.9 crore), reflecting a substantial 53% increase compared to the 2017 edition.
