Lim Ji Yeon Discusses the Challenges of a Public Relationship

In an exclusive interview with OSEN released on August 1, actress Lim Ji Yeon candidly discussed the challenges and dynamics of her public relationship with actor Lee Do Hyun, who is currently serving his military duties.

When asked how it feels to be in a relationship with a soldier, Lim responded positively, mentioning their initial meeting at the 60th Baeksang Awards. "It’s okay. We met during the Baeksang Awards and he congratulated me. He’s doing well inside the military and is healthy," she shared.

Reflecting on a viral moment when Lee Do Hyun publicly thanked her in his award speech, Lim revealed she unfortunately missed hearing it as she was backstage. "To be honest, I was backstage when he said that so I couldn’t hear him. I congratulated him a lot though," she said.

Addressing the burdens of a public relationship, Lim expressed a resigned acceptance, stating, "What could we do? We were caught by the paparazzi." Despite the scrutiny, she highlighted the benefits of dating a fellow actor, emphasizing mutual support and understanding of each other's work. "There are some perks in dating an actor. We always support each other and can understand each other’s work. I am so thankful that he’s there for me," Lim concluded.
