On February 22, chaos erupted when Mr. Choi, reportedly under the influence of narcotics, caused a disturbance at an unmanned café in Gangnam. Witnesses allege that Choi damaged the café's furniture before leaving the premises. His erratic behaviour continued as he was observed walking shirtless on the streets amidst snowfall.

Following media coverage of the incident, disturbing footage surfaced, revealing Choi's disoriented state captured by JTBC. CCTV footage aired on JTBC's Newsroom depicted Choi exhibiting signs of confusion as he wandered the streets of Seoul. In one instance, Choi was seen entering a church parking lot, where he engaged in erratic behaviour and ultimately injured himself before fleeing the scene.

According to the church manager, Choi displayed evident signs of distress and responded cryptically when approached, stating, "I sometimes go crazy." Witnesses further reported observing Choi roaming the streets in a similar state and engaging in unusual behaviour, including dancing with dishevelled clothing.

Responding to a passerby's report, the police intervened and detained Choi for his own safety on February 22. Coincidentally, a syringe found in a café was reported on the same day, later confirmed to belong to Choi. Subsequent drug testing yielded positive results, leading to Choi's arrest.

The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, prompting concerns about substance abuse and mental health. As investigations continue, authorities remain vigilant in addressing the circumstances surrounding Choi's behaviour, underscoring the importance of mental health awareness and intervention in such cases.
