On August 31, popular British singer Adele, at her concert in Munich, Germany announced that she will be taking an indefinite break from music after she completes her Las Vegas residency, scheduled for this November.
Adele recently finished her concerts in Munich, where she reportedly told the crowd, “I still have exactly five weeks of shows. But after that, I will not see you for an incredibly long time. And I will hold you dear in my heart for that whole length of my break. And I will fantasise about these shows and any shows that I’ve done over the last three years.”
“I’m not the most comfortable performer, I know that, but I am very good at it. And I’ve really enjoyed performing for nearly three years now, which is the longest I’ve ever done and probably the longest I will ever do. It has been amazing. I just need a rest I have spent the last seven years building a new life for myself, and I want to live it now,” she added.
Adele released her last album “30” in 2021 and has been performing two shows a week in august during her Munich residency. The shows are an immersive experience called “Adele World,” that included a Ferris wheel, an English pub, and an “I Drink Wine” bar. Her Las Vegas residency, “Weekends with Adele,” will run from October 25 to November 23, after which she plans to take a break and step away from the limelight.
