Actor Siddharth Sharma has decided to speak up for what he calls a “clear breach of trust” by the makers of the upcoming Sunny Deol-starrer Soorya. The young actor has issued a legal notice to the film’s producers, citing intentional violation of contractual terms and non-payment of his rightful dues.
In his Instagram post, Siddharth didn’t hold back. He revealed that despite signing a formal artist agreement before production began, the producers failed to pay his agreed fee. He also mentioned that the agreement was signed in the presence of Pakul Chaturvedi, who, despite repeated requests, “breached contract legal terms and denied to pay my lawful dues.”
Siddharth expressed disappointment over how new artists are still made to face such treatment, writing that the situation reflects an outdated mindset with the caption “Uncle believes we still live in the 1970s when educated people held government positions.”
The legal notice, which names Kamal Mukut, Soham Rockstar Entertainment, and Deepak Mukut, accuses the producers of continuous non-compliance with the contract. It also refers to key sections of the Indian Contract Act, 1872 — including Sections 37, 39, 73, and 74 — that deal with performance, breach, and compensation in contractual matters.
By citing these provisions, Siddharth has made it clear that he’s ready to pursue formal legal proceedings if corrective action isn’t taken.
For Siddharth, Soorya is his debut film alongside Sunny Deol, backed by well-known production banners like M&M Production, Soham Rockstar Entertainment, and Zee Studios. Instead, the experience has turned into a legal battle.
According to the actor, despite working under major names, he hasn’t received his payment as promised. His case sheds light on the challenges faced by newcomers in Bollywood, who often struggle to get fair treatment even when contracts are in place.
