Shah Rukh Khan Surprises Cast of 'Sitaare Zameen Par' with Heartfelt Visit
In a heartwarming gesture, Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan recently surprised the cast and crew of Sitaare Zameen Par with an impromptu visit to the film's set. The surprise was especially meaningful as it came just days before the film's theatrical release on June 20, 2025.
Directed by RS Prasanna, Sitaare Zameen Par is a spiritual sequel to Aamir Khan's 2007 classic Taare Zameen Par. The film features a fresh ensemble cast, including debutants like Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, and Simran Mangeshkar, and tells the story of a basketball coach training a team of specially-abled children. Aamir Khan not only stars in the film but also serves as a producer.
In a behind-the-scenes video shared by the makers, Shah Rukh Khan is seen arriving on set, much to the delight of the cast. He shared that Aamir had invited him multiple times to meet the actors, saying, “Aamir has told me at least 10 times... come and meet the actors. They are doing so well.” Shah Rukh engaged with each cast member, posing for photos and even striking his iconic arms-wide-open pose, which was met with cheers from the team.
Aamir Khan expressed his gratitude for Shah Rukh's visit, noting that it boosted the morale of the entire team. The camaraderie between the two Khans is well-known, and this gesture further solidified their bond.
Sitaare Zameen Par is generating significant buzz ahead of its release, with early ticket sales indicating a strong opening. The film's focus on inclusivity and its heartwarming narrative have resonated with audiences, making it one of the most anticipated releases of the year.
