Swades (2004)is one of the beautiful and ahead of its time, made by the Indian Cinema, directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar which had Shah Rukh Khan, Gayatri Joshi, Kishori Ballal in the lead and others Daya Shankar Pandey, Rajesh Vivek, Lekh Tandon in the supporting roles.
Apart from the film’s content, it is much loved by the music, terrifically created by one and only AR Rahman, which and every song is close to our Indians. Now, it seems the ‘Ye Jo Des Hai Tera’ track from the movie has also become close to the US.
As, on Twitter, the Indian Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu who was attending a dinner gala with the US Chief of Naval Operations (CNO) Michael M Gilday and US Navy band members performed that song as a tribute to strengthen the bond between US and India. And the 1 minute 30 seconds clip is doing rounds around the internet.
Take a Look –
And it will happen that Shah Rukh Khan hasn’t spotted it, he retweeted the clip and said, “Thank u for sharing this sir. How lovely. Git all nostalgic about the time spent making this beautiful film and belief sung in the song. Thanx @AshGowariker @RonnieScrewvala @arrahman & everyone who made it possible.”
Not only Badshah but also our music maestro AR Rahman replied to it and said, “Swades rules for ever @AshGowariker #sharukhkhan @Javedakhtarjadu”
Shahrukh Khan has had a gap of nearly three years from the silver screen and will be back with the most anticipated unannounced film called Pathan.
