After the buddy cop action-drama “Dishoom” starring John Abraham and Varun Dhawan got a good opening on its first day, the action film grew marginally on Saturday to some extent.
Opening in 3000 screens pan India, “Dishoom” got off to good reviews with some critics giving thumbs up to John Abraham and Varun Dhawan for pulling the film together inspite of predictable storyline. “Dishoom” collected Rs 11.05 crores on its first day while the Saturday collections were between 11.75-12 crores as per trade estimates. The film is performing on the Sajid Nadiawala’s previous film “Baaghi”.
The mass circuit areas like Rajasthan, Central India and UP were good while other circuits like Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata were same as day 1. “Dishoom” opened as the sixth highest grossing film of 2016. Other notable films were :-
