After a better than expected first weekend, the Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Sharma horror comedy flick, Roohi, dropped on Monday but still was able to put up a decent score.

Bollywood can heave a sigh of relief as Roohi has brought a smile on the producers, exhibitors and distributors with its first weekend collection. Though the opening weekend is far from the encouraging number but still the current collections is good enough to motivate and inspire more filmmakers who have films lined for this year.
Roohi released on Thursday, brought the first day collections to Rs 3.06 crore which also turned out to be the best opening post COVID-19 beating Wonder Woman, Tenet and Suraj Pe Mangal Bhari. The horror comedy drama got mixed reviews from the critics but audiences were in no mood to listen as the Roohi showed a normal drop and minting Rs 2.25 crore on its second day which was pretty good. There was a solid growth on the third day with Rs 3.42 crore. Roohi collected a very good Rs 3.85 crore on Sunday, bringing the 4 days total to Rs 12.58 crore. As per early estimates, Roohi dropped on first Monday and minted somewhere between Rs 1.25-1.50 crore bringing the 5 days total to Rs 13.5-14 core.
Roohi is made on a budget of Rs 35 Crore (Production Cost: 25 Crore, Prints and Advertising cost: 10 Crores). Roohi is being produced by Maddock film Productions and Jio Studios and will be having a 1000 plus screen release.
