Roman Reigns succeeded in defending his Universal Title against Daniel Bryan at Fastlane. Reigns put his title on the line earlier today at the WWE pay per view with Edge being the enforcer. The highly anticipated match between two talented wrestlers for the Universal Title would determine Edge’s opponent at WrestleMania 37.
The two wrestlers brought their A-game in this match as Reigns showcased his physical strength while Bryan utilized his quickness and technicalities against the Universal Champion. However as the match progressed, Bryan had the upper hand as he put the Tribal Chief in the yes lock. The match became more interesting when Bryan knocked out the referee accidentally and the Rated-R Superstar took the role of a match official. The leader of the ‘yes’ movement, put Reigns into his submission move once again but the lock was broken when Jey Uso interfered and kicked Edge and Bryan. The challenger for the Universal Championship took down Uso with a running knee and he accidentally hit Edge with a chair while aiming for Reigns. Bryan successfully managed to put Reigns into the yes lock again, the champion tapped out to the submission move but it wasn’t noticed by the match enforcer Edge. The Hall of Famer attacked both superstars with a chair with Reigns succeeded in pinning Bryan and the match was concluded with the referee hitting the third count. The Head of the table successfully defended his Universal Title and will be facing Edge at the grandest stage of wrestling WrestleMania 37 on April 11.
