Vedaa is about the court-martialed Major Abhimanyu Kanwar who becomes a boxing trainer in a school in Barmer. In order to train a Dalit girl Vedaa (Sharvari Wagh) he crosses paths with the Pradhan of the Barmer played by Abhishek Banerjee and his little brother played by Kshitij Chauhan.

While exploring the depth of caste bias, Vedaa's struggle to get into boxing & Major Abhimanyu's healing from a dark past the film misses its core plot somewhere. On the performance front, John Abraham is back with his hardcore action but doesn't give anything new. Sharvari on the other hand impresses with her amazing display of acting in both action & emotional sequences. While Abhishek Banerjee steals the show with his unusual avatar. He sets the bar high effortlessly that he remains there always even when he is not in the screen.

Overall, Vedaa is just a one time watch, It could have been an entertaining action flick with a powerful message. However, it fails to deliver the message properly.
