Sarfira Review: "A Worthy Flight To Board," Akshay Kumar & Radhikka Madan Starrer Flies High

Reviews: As Akshay Kumar himself said during promotions of Sarfira that this film is his one of the best works; I can agree to it after watching the film. A remake of Tamil film Soorarai Pottru, Sarfira is directed by the same director Sudha Kongara.

Sarfira Reviews

As Akshay Kumar himself said during promotions of Sarfira that this film is his one of the best works; I can agree to the statement after watching the film. A remake of Tamil film Soorarai Pottru (2020), Sarfira is directed by the same director Sudha Kongara & produced by 2D Entertainment, Abundantia Entertainment and Cape Of Good Films the film stars, Akshay Kumar, Radhikka Madan & Paresh Rawal in lead roles.

Remakes of iconic south Indian films are working well for Bollywood and Sarfira can be one of the worthy watching remake audience of Hindi cinema can hop on. In this aviation-drama film the story is the real USP & Sarfira accurately potrays the emotionality of this story. Sarfira casts how a thrown-away air force officer inspires to bring low cost aviation services in India with his market-breaking ideas.

Director Sudha Kongara doesn't try to add more glamour and keep it simple as it was in the original Tamil film. The addition of Akshay Kumar & Radhikka doesn't take its's simplicity away. The village setting in the first half works well for the film though sometimes it feels like the leads AK & Madan are not fitting in it smoothly but their acting covers it. The aviation activities have been shown aptly especially The Indian Airforce scenes are winners. Also The old Bombay vibe is really soothing and you can't get enough of it.

On acting front Akshay Kumar who plays Vir, delivers his best especially in overly dramatic emotional scenes & the inspiring scenes he is known for. Though one thing we all feel in AK movies is his looks for all his characters doesn't change much. As his character developes in the film his physical attributes doesn't change much except the haircut, which is not even much evident. Radhikka Madan who plays the character of Rani (Vir's wife) is a big surprise for the audience in the movie. She doesn't shy off sharing screen space with almost half her age older actor. She eats out AK in various scenes credits to her bold and dashing character. While Paresh Rawal emerges as stronger negative force and finishes off his charcter effortlessly.

The Music of the film is again the bigger contributor, the music is composed by  G. V. Prakash Kumar, Tanishk Bagchi and Suhit Abhyankar. Songs like Khudaya & Maar Udi winds in your head after the movie. Overall the film is a worthy watch for its story and inspiring aspects.

Rating: 3/5
