The aesthetics of the show combined with references to iconic horror stories made it a nostalgic ride. Each trail in each episode reflected a certain era, from the 70s to the 2000s, whether it be the clothes or the camera play, it was all on point. Creator and Director Jac Schaeffer’s decision to use a live set for the Witches’ Road and its trials made it a very immersive experience not just for the actors but also for the audience.

When talking about the actors, Kathryn Hahn brought more domestic to Agatha Harkness and made the beloved villain more of an anti-hero. Joe Locke made his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the son of Scarlet Witch, which is the opposite of his previous role as Charlie Springs in Heartstopper. While Patti LuPone brought her Broadway talent of acting and singing to the mix the prize goes to Aubrey Plaza for her complex and one-of-a-kind role as Rio Vadel, Agatha’s ex-lover and Death herself.

When it comes to Marvel, there’s a timeline that is followed, and all the shows and movies need to fit it. Agatha All Along did the same, not only did this series show us the aftermath of WandaVision, but also set up the Vision Quest which is going to be the third and last instalment of this trilogy. The show also revealed the existence of Tommy Maximoff, Billy’s twin brother and Wanda’s second son. From time to time it did tease but never provided any confirmation on the death of Elisabeth Olsen’s Wanda Maximoff. The two big reveals from the show were the introduction of Wiccan and Death, played by Joe Locke and Aubrey Plaza.

Overall the show was a banger, it was funny but scary all while also making us emotional. Each episode was very impactful but the best episode has to be Episode 7 which was Lilia’s trial played by Patti LuPone. The episode was a masterpiece, a work of genius screenplay and story-building.

We are now left with Agatha Harkness as a ghost, after kissing death, and Billy Maximoff on their way to find Tommy. There is a possibility of Aubrey Plaza returning as death and Jennifer Kale played by Shasheer Zamata who was unbounded in the end after a century.
