Ruth Bader Ginsburg is the second woman to serve the position of justice on America’s highest court of law. She was the lady who has massive social influence and considers as the pioneer of women’s rights and equality. On Friday she died at the age of 87. She was suffering from pancreatic cancer for a long time.
The lady never feared to speak her heart out and voiced her opinions fiercely. When Ginsburg had addressed the masses in North Carolina in September 2019 she said, “As bleak as things may seem, I have seen so many changes in my lifetime. Opportunities opened for people of whatever race, religion, and, finally, gender.”
In one of the interviews with CBS in 2016, she stated, “I had three strikes against me. One, I was Jewish. Two, I was a woman. But the killer was I was a mother of a four-year-old child.” Ginsburg became the nominee to the Supreme Court in 1993 by then-president Bill Clinton. Effortlessly she confirmed by the Senate and became the second lady and the first Jewish woman justice.
Over the years of her career, she became an inspiration for many. Ginsburg was fondly known as the “Notorious RBG.”
