The intern, who joined a musical instruments marketplace just an hour before being terminated, posted the CEO's message on Reddit’s Recruiting Hell forum.

In the Slack message, the CEO, identified as Baldvin, expressed frustration with employees who didn’t attend a mandatory morning meeting.

“You’re all fired,” Baldvin wrote. He accused the absent employees of breaching their contracts, not taking their jobs seriously, and failing to contribute to the company’s success.

He then instructed the terminated workers to return company property, log out of accounts, and leave the Slack workspace immediately. His message ended with a sharp dismissal, “Get the f*** out of my business right now.”

The CEO’s decision drew mixed reactions online. While some criticized his harsh approach, others questioned the employees’ accountability for missing the meeting. On Reddit, the post sparked debate about whether the situation was entirely the CEO’s fault or if it reflected broader workplace challenges.

Baldvin’s message highlighted that only 11 out of 110 employees showed up for the meeting, leading him to retain just those individuals. “I gave you an opportunity to grow and improve your life, but you didn’t take it seriously,” he wrote, defending his decision.

The incident underscores growing tensions in the modern workplace, where communication and expectations between employers and employees are frequently challenged. While the CEO’s tone raised eyebrows, the story raises questions about professional accountability on both sides.
