On the other hand, Barcelona is also having a good season. They have been unbeaten since the beginning of 2021 and are currently on an undefeated nine-game streak across all competitions. Barcelona is just one point shy of the table leaders and a victory on Sunday would allow them to take the number one spot in the La Liga standings.
The head-to-head competition between the two teams in the previous five matches has been a tie as both teams have won two games each. In the previous game which took place earlier in the season, Real Madrid came out victorious with a scoreline of 3-1.
Sergio Ramos and Raphael Varane will miss out on the upcoming fixture as the former is out due to a muscular injury while the latter has tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week. Eden Hazard also seems doubtful for the game
Apart from Ansu Fati, Philippe Coutinho and Neto’s injuries, Barcelona has no issues ahead of their game against Real Madrid.
