Shankar is a filmmaker who predominantly works in Tamil cinema. While he recently announced his collaboration with Ram Charan for a pan-India film, Shankar is looking forward for a Bollywood flick soon if everything goes well. It is reported that Shankar will soon direct Ranveer Singh for a Hindi movie and they have locked a script. Though the Ram charan-starrer will be made in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, Shankar who made his Bollywood entry in 2001 with Nayak, the Hindi version of Mudhalvan, is planning for re-entry into Hindi with this movie.
It is reported that Ranveer’s team had approached Shankar in Chennai sometime ago and the actor even met the director to check on a collaboration. However, since the script resembled Anniyan and the production house that distributed the movie in 2005 didn’t give a clearance, the script had to be dropped. According to reports, now, Shankar has locked a script and even before he starts his work on the Ram Charan film, he will work on the Bollywood movie.
On the work front, Ranveer has completed 83 and Sooryavanshi and is working on Cirkus with Rohit Shetty now. While his Indian 2 is still in the making with Kamal Haasan.
