After a gap of 2 years, Salman Khan is back with the much awaited Radhe along with Disha Patani and Randeep Hooda. Due to the lockdown in India, Radhe will hardly make an impact at the box office but the story is different in the Overseas market.
If it is EID, then it has be a Salman Khan film. For past few years, we witnessed Salman Khan films has done wonders at the box office starting with Wanted all the way till Bharat. Radhe was the talk of the town as Salman Khan is collaborating with Prabhu Deva for the third time after the success of Wanted and Dabangg 3. Radhe was supposed to premier on the hybrid model – OTT as well theater release. However, with the rise in the COVID 19 cases, there has been lockdown in Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Goa, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Delhi and Uttarakhand. Telangana state was the only hope for Radhe as there were few theaters in Hyderabad ready to screen the action flick. Unfortunately, the Telengana government is pushing the lockdown from 12th May for 10 days period with relaxation time from 6 AM to 10 AM. There are theater owners who have started refunding the ticket amount to the audience.

In the overseas market, Radhe has grabbed 800 screens with 350 screens in the UAE and GCC which is a big market for Salman Khan especially during the EID time. The early report also suggest that advance opening of Radhe has been encouraging. The last film which has done well in the Overseas market was Tanhaji and Good Newwz.
As per Bollywood Hungama, Radhe has got 50% occupancy filled in advance for Dubai, UAE and 30% for the rest of the Emirates. Radhe also got the 50% occupancy in Saudi. The Australia and New Zealand has seen solid 100% occupancy in 83 and 25 screens while Singapore is at 100% as well. Indonesia is running at 50% occupancy from 22 screens. The US market is slowly opening up as the vaccination drive is going pretty well in that region. The occupancy rate is somewhere between 90-25 % across different states. The UK market is going strong as well with most of countries showing occupancy of 50% once the film opens on 17th May.
