After the Salman Khan, Disha Patani and Randeep Hooda action flick, Radhe, opened to solid responses on the OTT platform, it was able to make some impact at the overseas market.
The star power of Salman Khan helped his latest flick Radhe get some traction at the Overseas box office even though it was released based on the Hybrid model – OTT as well theater release. In the overseas market, Radhe has grabbed 800 screens with 350 screens in the UAE and GCC which has been a big market for Salman Khan especially during the EID time. Radhe was released on Thursday and got the benefit of 4 days extended weekend.
Directed by Prabhudeva, the action flick had collected 1.355 million (Rs 9.85 crore) while the US market collected Rs 1.55 crore ($210K)The Australia and New Zealand market was good with Rs 2 crore ($270K) from 83 screens and Rs 40 lakhs ($55k) from 25 screens. . The rest of the world was Rs 1.20 crore, bringing the 4 days collections to Rs 15 crore ($ 2.05 million)
Due to poor reviews and restrictions placed by COVID-19 situation, Radhe was able to make the final total of $2.6 million (around Rs 19 crore) which is still fine considering the fact that the action drama was released in limited screens. Out of the total overseas market, the best collections came from Gulf where Radhe minted $$1,650,000. Radhe minted $390,000 from Australia, $300,000 from US, $145,000 from UK and $125,00 from rest of the world. (Figures as per Box Office India website)
As per Bollywood Hungama, Radhe had released in just 3 theaters in Tripura where it collected Rs 60k. The budget of Radhe is 100 crore. Radhe is streaming on ZEE5’s pay per view platform, ZEEPlex.
