On the other hand, Chelsea will be entering into the game after losing 5-2 to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday in the Premier League fixture. A brace from Matheus Pereira in the first half, a second-half brace from Callum Robinson and a goal from Mbaye Diagne took West Bromwich Albion home against Chelsea.
In the head-to-head competition between the two teams, Chelsea has the clear advantage as they beat Porto on five occasions, lost twice and had a draw once. The last encounter between the two teams took place in the year 2015 in the UEFA Champions League, Chelsea beat Porto by a scoreline of 2-0. An own goal from Ivan Marcano and a goal from Willian sealed the deal for Chelsea.
Porto will be missing the services of Mouhamed Mbaye, Ivan Marcano’s inclusion also seems doubtful for the game. Sergio Oliveira and Mehdi Taremi are currently serving match suspension.
N’Golo Kante won’t feature in Wednesday’s fixture for Chelsea as the midfielder is nursing an injury. Christian Pulisic and Tammy Abraham’s inclusion seems uncertain.
