'Why waste my time on that?':Lady Gaga on rumours of being a man

While featuring in the second episode of ‘What’s Next? The Future with Bill Gates’ Lady Gaga reflects on why she never responded to the old rumours claiming her being a man, headlines that were very common during the 20’s.

While on the show, discussing her next step, she reflected on her silence on the rumours of her being a man in disguise of a woman. Gaga recalls how everywhere she went, all the interviews and tours, this became a common question that would come up by reporters.

During an interview back in 2011, she answered the question regarding her reaction to the rumours, she said, "Why waste my time on that? My fans don’t care, and neither do I.” it was her answer that gave her this unapologetic persona in the industry. Explaining her silence for so many years she said that she doesn’t consider herself a victim and that she never wanted a child to see this and imply to them that there’s something wrong with being associated with such rumours.

Going further she explained that she feels used to this misinformation since her twenties and finds these rumours to be quite funny. Gaga was on the show to talk about her next big move in life, that being a part of the show 'Joker: Folie à Deux' and topping charts with her Bruno Mars debut, 'Die with a smile'. Along with that she is also releasing the first single for the upcoming seveth album in October.
