Taylor Swift Is The Second Greatest Pop Star And Here's Why??

Billboard names Taylor Swift as the Second Greatest Pop Star of the 21st Century, adding another jewel to her bejewelled band. The singer-songwriter is said to be the most popular artist in the world right now and is referred to by the Music Industry.

There are many reasons why she stands in the second position, you can credit it to her soulful music or her phenomenal Eras Tour. But the biggest reason has to be the impact she has had on the world. For example, take her participation in the political scene of America. Just when she encouraged everyone to vote, thousands if not lakhs of people registered themselves as voters. 

Another great example of her impact is that her one decision single-handedly changed the music industry. The decision to re-release her first 6 studio albums which were sold to Scooter Braun with whom she has bad blood, gave other artists a chance to own their music back from recording studios.

Swift has also had a major economic impact, especially with her Eras Tour that has been on for over two years now. Everywhere she took her tour, Swiftie followed and it boosted the local business. Plus a chunk of money that is earned from the Eras Tour is donated to the food bank of the city.

Lastly, she has one of the biggest and most interactive fanbase out of all. Swift has a habit of leaving easter eggs in her songs, music videos and posts which Swifties love to decode. The fanbase is so massive that all her 146 shows of the Eras Tour across the world have been house-full.

Billboard has released a list of the greatest pop stars of the 21st Century. Last week they named Rihanna as the third greatest pop star. After Taylor Swift was named second Beyonce is expected to take the first spot.
