Adityanath urges party workers to promptly engage for the impending elections and leverage social media platforms extensively to combat misinformation. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath remarked on Sunday that the BJP's prospects in the 2024 Lok Sabha polls in Uttar Pradesh were compromised by the excessive confidence of party workers and candidates.
Adityanath addressed the BJP's state executive gathering, which included the party's national president and Union minister JP Nadda among others. This marked the BJP's inaugural significant assembly in Uttar Pradesh following the Lok Sabha elections.
Under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the party achieved notable successes in Uttar Pradesh in 2014, 2017, 2019, and 2022, consistently putting pressure on the opposition, Adityanath noted.
“In 2024, the BJP maintained the same vote percentage as in previous elections, but shifts in voter allegiance and excessive confidence have tempered our expectations. The opposition, previously struggling, has now received a resurgence,” Adityanath remarked during the concluding session of the daylong meeting held at Ram Manohar Lohia National Law University in Lucknow.
