Neeraj Chopra has made it to the men's javelin throw finals at the Paris Olympics 2024. He qualified with a first throw of 89.34 meters and will compete in the final on August 8 at 11:55 pm IST.
After Neeraj Chopra, Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem also made it to the men's javelin finals with a throw of 86.59 meters. Nadeem, who won silver at the World Championships last year and gold at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, will face Chopra in what is set to be an exciting India-Pakistan athletics rivalry.
Unfortunately, India’s Kishore Jena missed out on the final in his first Olympics appearance, which was a disappointing setback. He is unlikely to reach the final after a best throw of 80.73 meters. The Asian Games silver medalist finished ninth in Group A of the javelin throw qualification round and won’t advance to the medal round at the Paris Olympics.
