As we all know last week Nicki Minaj’s father Robert Maraj took his last breath after being a victim of a Hit-and-Run. Recently a man has been imprisoned in relation to the case.
Robert Maraj, Rapper Nicki Minaj’s father perished to his injuries in a hit and run case last week. A 70-year-old man was arrested this Wednesday and was held responsible for the demise of Nicki’s father on New York’s Long Island. As per the police officers in charge at the time, the man stopped for a few seconds to ask Robert if he was alright but didn’t call for help. The impeached faces charges of fleeing the scene of the accident and altering with physical evidence which was related to the case.
The man is now free on bail after an arrangement in Nassau County court. As per the judgment for the case, The accused driver’s license has been discontinued and was also been ruled to surrender his passport. Also, the judge said he can’t leave the state. During a news conference after the judgment, Nassau County Police Detective Lt. Stephen Fitzpatrick said, “He was aware of what happened”. The officer also said that after the accident the accused got out of the car took a look at the deceased man and ran from the scene without calling 911. Fitzpatrick said. “He went home and secluded the vehicle. He’s well aware of what he did.”
The final report stated that Maraj was hit by a car at 6.15 pm on Friday while walking along Roslyn Road in Mineola. He was then taken to a hospital and was later pronounced dead. The police said, “He went home and parked his car in a detached garage in an attempt to conceal it from view.” The accused surrendered after the police submitted pieces of evidence based on surveillance video to track the car entangled in the crash – a white 1992 Volvo station wagon.
