US Elections Is Now Anyone’s Game! Find What’s Happening

Governments and Diplomats globally are eagerly watching the 2024 US Presidential Elections, which have entered their final phases as the counting of votes is reaching its end. Both Presidential candidates have not crossed the threshold of majority yet but are steady with a close margin.

Candidates of the Democratic Party, Vice President Kamala Harris and Republican Party’s Donald Trump are the face of this election. As of now, Donald Trump is leading in this election with 247 electoral seats, with Kamala closely following at 214 electoral seats. Trump had a great start with 162 electoral seats and Kamala with only 34. Both parties need to cross the threshold of majority seats, i.e. 270 seats, and as of now, Donald Trumps Republican Party is closer to the majority mark.

Kamala Harris is only 56 seats away from winning but still behind Donald Trump with 33 seats. Midwest states have favoured the Republican Party, while the Democratic Party is receiving support from the states on the East and West Coast regions. Along with the President, the country is also voting to elect governors and Senators in the Congress House.

Both parties in this election are fighting or contrasting issues. While Kamala is promoting reproductive rights and freedom to women, Trump is targeting the illegal immigrants in the states. If the Democratic Party wins, this will be the first time a female  Candidate will be elected as a President in the history of the United States. 

It is said that the results of the election will be declared within a few hours giving us the next President, it will also impact global relations with other countries.
