Director Todd Phillips has just dropped an exciting update for 'Joker: Folie à Deux,' unveiling a fresh glimpse of Joaquin Phoenix in his iconic Joker role. The image showcases Phoenix's character, Arthur Fleck, standing amidst a downpour, surrounded by a multitude of individuals holding vibrant umbrellas on either side.
Phillips captioned the post, "Oct. 4 Thanks for all the messages. Four years ago we had quite a ride. Lots of great memories. More to come." As soon as he shared the photo, likes and comments poured in from all sides.
One enthusiastic fan exclaimed, "We will be there for another $1 Billion box office run." Another eagerly added, "Oh my gosh. I am so thrilled. Thank you man, can't wait for the (I assume) teaser or trailer tomorrow!!" A fan also commented, "You've made the greatest character insight with Phoenix that has ever existed in that universe. A truly incredible interpretation of the human behind the terror."
'Joker 2' brings back Joaquin Phoenix in the titular role, and it's rumored that Lady Gaga will join the cast to portray Harley Quinn. The ensemble cast is further enriched by the inclusion of Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland, and Harry Lawtey. Fans can also anticipate the return of Zazie Beetz, reprising her character Sophie Dumond from the original film, serving as Arthur's love interest.
